I can’t believe that we’ve been back from London for almost a year now. A year always seems like a substantial amount of time in my mind, but in hindsight it never really feels that way at all… We’ve been having some beautiful weather in Toronto lately and it makes me nostalgic for the perfect London summer we had last year. I can only remember a handful of days when it actually rained.
Things I miss the most: 1. Daily strolls along the canal; 2a. Weekend walks to the flower market; 2b. And car boot sales (I wish we called them boots..!); 3. Beers in the park, by the canal, on the sidewalks – basically all the places we can’t drink in Toronto; 4. Sitting at the front of the top level of the bus and watching the city go by (I never tired of it… although, maybe I would have with more time and British cynicism); 5. Seeing something new everyday (which maybe isn’t fair to Toronto, since I grew up here).
If only I could transplant all my friends and family there… that would be great.
